Epiluvac AB was founded in 2013 by a team of engineers with decades of research and development experience from the CVD reactor field and especially hot-wall CVD SiC epitaxy equipment. With its close and historic relations to material science researchers and people in the global semiconductor industry, the founding team was soon presented to a number of new, interesting opportunities which have directed the company since then. In 2014 the EPI 1000-C SiC epitaxy reactor was introduced, which was followed by the EPI-1000-N GaN epitaxy reactor in 2016. In recent years Epiluvac also presented customized reactor designs for graphene production as well as growing single-crystalline GeSnSiC alloys by RPCVD.
SiC is Our Home Ground
Much of the pioneering work in the silicon carbide (SiC) research has been carried out in Sweden, starting more than 20 years ago. With Linköping University as the epicenter, development of this material has matured into a wide range of applications. The Epiluvac team contains world-leading expertise gained from many years’ experience of serving the worldwide community of successful researchers working with this very demanding material.
Located in the high-tech region of Lund
Within our facility in the Ideon Science Park in Lund, we have a vast variety of possibilities to design, build and test turn-key systems. Next door, we have a number of suppliers, specialized in supporting high-tech companies.
Ideon Science Park was the first science park in Scandinavia and one of the first in Europe when it opened 1983. Situated just beside Lund University, established in 1668 and with almost 50,000 students today, this science park has attracted global companies within information and communication technology, life science and clean-tech. This is the place where research and innovation meet the market. With the multi-disciplinary research center ESS and MAX IV, the area is progressing towards being one of the most research-intensive regions in Europe.
